My very talented friend Andrea [see the homemade owl below], came up with the greatest idea. She decided to surprise her brand new niece, Penelope, with her very own newborn photo session! And how could I resist a girl with a name like that? She’s beyond beautiful and I can tell her mom and dad are completely smitten by her.

And he has one rockin’ nursery!

He’s absolutly perfect and I can’t wait to see him again soon!

I had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of these little guys shortly after I found out their parents were expecting – especially since they’re twins! I’ve always thought it would be really exciting to have twins, but oh. my. goodness. it seems like a TON of work. Well luckily these little guys were born to some pretty awesome parents, who are completely smitten by them!!

Here, I’ll share some of my favorite images with you. . .

This one here is little Derek. Well actually he’s the bigger of the two, but still such a little guy. And let me tell you, he’s a little escape artist. I don’t know how many times his mom and I swaddled him, he’d still somehow find his way out! 

The little guy on the left is teeny tiny Dylan.

If I’m not mistaken he was just shy of 4lbs when he was born.

He has such a sweet temperament and is already so curious about the world.

It was sooooo nice to be able to do part of our session outdoors.

And let me tell you, those little boys LOVED it.

It’s amazing how fresh air can really calm a baby down.

Now for some in the great indoors!

And who can resist snuggling brothers?

Not me. [Sigh]

And my first attempt at the whole “baby draping” pose. Dylan was a champ! Doesn’t he look so comfy?!

Congratulations again Mom and Dad “C”, you have some dangerously handsome little guys on your hands!

This week’s challenge over at I Heart Faces is “Smiles”. And the smile that always seems to melt my heart is that of my daughter. You know you have a happy baby on your hands when she smiles in her sleep! This was her almost 6 months ago and to this day I still catch her doing it from time to time.
